It’s been a beautiful week here in Spring Valley: perfect sunny days punctuated with pleasant spring showers. There aren’t many things better than walking through the woods and being surrounded by new growth, birds singing, the creek guiding your path. Smelling the honey suckles starting to bloom, noticing flowers that weren’t there a couple days ago, and feeling the sun slowly overtake the chill, dewy morning air.
These slow mornings have been needed after the rush of opening for the season and then going back to Virginia to prep my house in Richmond to be rented. I’ll take a slow morning where I can though — spending the evenings dreaming up the future of Whispering Winds with Beverly, we have our work cut out for us. Thankfully, its work worth doing 😄
